I make SO MANY cards during the course of a year that I just got really upset at myself this morning. Why? Because I know I sent this card to someone as I can see the writing on the inside. I can not for the life of me remember who I sent it to. I’m thinking I sent it to a member of my team?
Anyway, when I made this card, I had the “Quilt Technique” on my mind. This technique was very popular years ago when Stampin’ Up! sold the Square Lattice Embossing Folder which of course has been retired for quite some time. It was so perfect for this technique so I needed a replacement. So I dug out all of my current embossing folders and chose the Boho Chic Embossing Folder. It looks fabulous for this technique:

I cut out a bunch of shapes using the Hexagon Punch with three cardstock colors: Soft Sky, Wild Wasabi and Perfect Plum. I glued them all side-by side vertically and horizontally by gluing them to a scrap piece of Whisper White Cardstock that measured 3-3/4″ x 3-3/4″. I left about 1/8″ space between all of the hexagons. I trimmed the excess hexagons overhanging on all four sides. I then used the embossing folder through all the layers and look how lovely this turned out:
