Hexagon Hive meets Petite Petals!

March 22, 2014 15 Comments

I posted this photo for an inspiration challenge with our Maine Stampers Group on Facebook:

An inspiration challenge is when you look at a photo and create a project using anything in the photo that inspires you. There’s lots to pick from in this photo. You could use the colors, the flowers, the butterflies , the stars or combine several to come up with a project.

So what do you get when you combine Pear Pizzazz, Rich Razzleberry and Perfect Plum? Why this card of course:

I actually used 4 different stamps sets for this card: The Best of Butterflies, Label Love, Petite Petals and Flower Shop. I doubled some of the flowers and I also doubled the butterfly:

I curled all of the petals and the top butterfly with my Bone Folder. The Hexagon Hive Die shape was embossed and popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Card Supplies:
  • Stamp Sets: The Best of Butterflies, Label Love, Petite Petals and Flower Shop
  • Inks: Rich Razzleberry, Pear Pizzazz, Perfect Plum
  • Tools: Big Shot Machine, Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder, Hexagon Hive Framelits Die, Artisan Label Punch, Pansy Punch, Petite Petals Punch, Stampin’ Dimensionals
  • Cardstock: Rich Razzleberry, Pear Pizzazz, Perfect Plum, Whisper White

EDITED: I’ve had a few requests asking to add the projects the girls from our Maine Demo’s group created in this challenge:

 Eileen Frost
 Carrie Arsenault
 Jeannine Tarrio
Cathy Autrey

Stunning Debbie!!!!! it makes me want to buy that die. The embossed die cut panel gives this card a whole new dimension. The flowers and the butterfly just completes this amazingly gorgeous card. On it goes to be Pinned.
