Have you ever been left with a whole bunch of the same shape that you didn’t use in a project………..but don’t want to throw away? That’s how this card came to fruition today. I’ve been diligently working on some projects with my daughter Jessica and my granddaughter Kaitlynn for her pre-K class for Valentine’s and Kaitlynn just LOVES to use my punches. As you can see by the hearts below, she got a little carried away!

After we finished the cards for Kaitlynn’s classmates (which you will see on a later post), I had all of these little hearts just sitting on my work station. I left them there for awhile and then finally decided to use them as a quilt card. Once they were all arranged in a pattern and glued in place, I used my “Square Lattice Textured Impressions Folder” to meld everything together. I also used a “Sponge Dauber” dipped in “Pretty In Pink Ink” and rubbed the sponge over the texture to add just a tint of color:

This card did not need an overabundance of items to finish it off. As you know, I don’t like clutter on my cards! I added a simple sentiment from the “Sale-A-Bration” stamp set called “Vintage Verses” stamped with “Chocolate Chip Ink”. I cut the “Whisper White Cardstock” using the “Decorative Label Punch” and sponged the edges:
