What a beautiful day outside. Dave is gone fishing with a buddy for the day and I’m organizing! I am still busy trying to get my stamping room in tip top shape. I have the walls all painted and we layed down a berber rug last night. It looks so good. Here are some of the things we’ve added recently to make room for some of my “STUFF”
This is a picture of a shelf we made to hold some of my stamping sets. I also have most of them labeled with white address labels with the name of the stamp set and the catalog number for easy reference. Some of the sets on the middle shelf are retired and I will never part with them. I need to go through my old catalogs to find their respective titles and add labels to these also. My Christmas stamp sets and sentiments are on the floor for now until I find room for those also. I also have all my Cricut cartridges on the top shelf. On Monday my new “Bigshot” will arrive with the rest of my goodies. I am so anxious! This is another shelf we built to hold all of my punches. We used dowel rods and drilled holes on the sides to slide them in. I also have 5 more punches being deliverd on Monday.
This is a close up of my labeling system. Even though Stampin’ Up now includes labels with all stamp sets, they are clear and not so easily visible.
This is a close up of my punch rack. You will notice on the top shelf, I keep all my border punches. I punched a sample of each and adhered below the punch so that I can easily determine which one I want to use.
I’ll have more pictures later of my whole work area. It is not organized yet.
Now on to my card for the day:
I created this card last night. I just love the retired set “Greetings Galore” from Stampin’ Up. I used Chocolate Chip card stock for the back ground. Added a layer of Sage Shadow. I then stamped the “Just Married” set on Whisper White and use the 1 3/4″ round punch. I then used my Cricut machine to cut a larger circle in Sage Shadow and a third circle wiith specialty paper from K&Company. I used a “Top Note” cut out from Chocolate Chip cardstock (that I purchased on ebay since I don’t have the “Big Shot” machine yet). Before I layered my Whisper White circle, I added Stampin’ Dimensonals to the back to add a little “lift”. I added 3 pearl stick-ons. Lastly, I stamped the “happily ever after” on the same specialty paper, punched it out with my large oval punch and then used the scallop oval punch in Sage Shadow for an outline.
