Today’s project reminds me of my son Greg. He is a nature-lover and outdoorsy guy. He was right in the thick of hiking the Appalachian Trial starting in Georgia (to Maine) last March when COVID happened. He and his girlfriend were two weeks in and had to abandon their hiking because some areas had been shut down and also, it was too risky to think of restocking their food if a town was closed for business. Mom was relieved when they came home!
The Campology Stamp Set has outdoor imagery and sentiments that are great for masculine projects or projects about camping and the outdoors. You can see in the close-up photo below how I stamped and hand-cut these images to add over the stamped trees:

I also added in some background sponging with my Blending Brushes, a layer of the Pansy Petals Designer Paper, some So Succulent Open Weave Ribbon and a bright splash of color with the sentiment layer cut with the Lovely Labels Pick A Punch.

Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Pacific Point Cardstock 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″.
- Layer #2: Evening Evergreen Cardstock 5-1/4″ x 4″. Set aside.
- Layer #3: Pansy Petals Designer Paper 5-1/4″ 1-1/2″. Glue to the bottom of Layer #2. Set aside.
- Ribbon: Wrap the So Succulent Open Weave Ribbon around Layer #2 on top of the designer paper and tie into a bow at the left. Glue cardstock layer to card front.
- Layer #4: Basic White Cardstock cut with the Rectangles Stitched Dies that measures 4-3/8″ x 3″. Add the following:
- Stamp the trees at the bottom using Evening Evergreen Ink. Stamp twice before re-inking for a lighter color.
- Use a Blending Brush and Pool Party Ink to add color at the top.
- Glue to card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Stamp the lantern, binoculars and coffee pot/cup using StazOn Jet Black Ink. Add color to each image with Watercolor Pencils. Spread the color with a Blender Pen. Cut out each image using Paper Snips and glue in place with Stampin’ Dimensionals over the trees on the right.
- Stamp the sentiment on a scrap Bumblebee Cardstock 3/4″ wide using Evening Evergreen Ink. Cut the left end using the Lovely Labels Pick A Punch. Trim the right side so it can be glued under the lantern.
