Happy Birthday to my Dad!

My DAD turns 74 today! Happy Birthday DAD! We are also traveling for our business today and will be in my parents area, which is 2 hours away from us so we plan on visiting while we are there.

This is a set I made for my dad. At 74 and with having had surgery for a defibrillator a few years ago, my dad still loves to golf. As he says, he doesn’t hit the ball as hard as he used to, but still good exercise! I thought this little set was perfect for a birthday gift:

 I grabbed a real “TEE” from my golfers bag and wrapped and glued 2 strips of Wild Wasabi cardstock around it. The tee still slides in and out if needed! Before gluing the tee to the card, I used the Jewelry Tag Punch to punch out Whisper White & Chocolate Chip tags and tied thread through the tag and around the tee.

The 2 large circles are made with the 3″ Circle Die and embossed with the Square Lattice Textured Impressions Folder. I then used a Sponge Dauber and Early Espresso Ink and dabbed on the embossed areas of both circles. The 2 smallest circles are cut with the 1″ Circle Punch and embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Folder to give the “golf ball” look.

Do you like my little flag? The grass under the flag pole is 1/2″ of a 1/2″ Circle Punch and I hand cut the pole and the little flag. The “18” was handwritten with my White Signo Gel Pen.
