Trick or Treat is almost here and that’s our theme this week for our Saturday Blog Hop at Create with Connie & Mary! I created this cute treat holder using the Diaper Fold and the Spooky Night Designer Paper:

You can create this treat holder in any size you want by starting with a square piece of paper. For mine today, I started with an 8″ x 8″ piece. It was perfect for adding a Snickers bar inside. I used the Spooky Night Designer Paper, Spooky Cat stamp set and the Cat Punch:

Here’s how: Start by folding the designer paper in half diagonally:

Using the right-hand corner, bring it across until the tip is even with the opposite side. Pay attention to the very top of this corner to make sure you are pulling it over straight. Press in place with the Bone Folder:

Repeat for the other side by grabbing the left-hand side and folding over:

The final fold is to take the top layer only of the very top of the designer paper and folding that over to the bottom folds to create the flap:

Make sure you use the bone folder on each fold. Glue all of the layers in place and decorate as you like:

I used the largest circle from the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies and added a cat from the Spooky Night Designer Paper that I cut with the Cat Punch. I even hand-cut a witches hat from the designer paper to add to the cat’s head. How funny is that? I then added the sentiment from the Spooky Cat stamp set and cut with the Popcorn Box Thinlits Dies.
