Good Morning! I hope you are enjoying the Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog as much as I do. It’s so hard to believe that each year, the catalog just gets better and better. Today I am sharing a swap card I made for our Control Freaks Swappers Group. We had a small group participating this time so I only had to create 11 swap cards. I used the Good Tidings stamp set paired up with the Year Of Cheer Specialty Designer Paper. Isn’t the gold in the paper just lovely?
The stamp set is a two-step set. I stamped the holly leaves with two images and the holly berries with two images. I achieved the light and dark inks by stamping the bold image on scrap paper first and without re-inking (stamping off), stamped on my cardstock layer. The 2nd image was stamped full strength. I love the dimension this created. It gives such a detailed look.
Once my images were stamped, I stamped the sentiment partially over the holly using VersaMark Ink and Sprinkled Gold Embossing Powder. I melted the powder with my Heat Tool and then cut the shape of my layer using the Lots Of Labels Framelits Dies:
