Good Morning! I had a chance to just play yesterday instead of doing business stuff. Can you believe we go live with our 2018-2019 Annual Catalog tomorrow? I am so excited about this. The catalog is my all-time favorite. I have such a long wish list!
I went looking for a challenge and was excited to play with the Global Design Project challenge. This week the challenge is to case the talented Brian King with this card he designed:
I stamped the rhino using Basic Gray Ink on Smoky Slate Cardstock and added a tiny bit of Smoky Slate Ink for highlights using my Aqua Painter. I also colored the small leaves of the bamboo plants using Granny Apple Green Ink:
Once my stamped images were colored and the rhino glued in place with Stampin’ Dimensionals, I tucked some Granny Apple Green and Vellum Cardstock leaves that I cut with the leaf punch under the rhino. I also added a few of our new Leaves Trinkets. Love those! They glue in place quite easily with a simple Glue Dot:
These are the layers I used for my card:
- Card Base: Pineapple Punch Cardstock 11″ x 4-1/4″. Score and fold at 5-1/2″
- Layer #2: Basic Gray Cardstock 5″ x 3-3/4″
- Layer #3: Whisper White Cardstock 4-7/8″ x 3-5/8″
I hope you enjoyed today’s project and make sure you visit the Global Design Project to see what the team has created. Their cards are all fabulous. Have a great day!
