Welcome to a Saturday Blog Hop at Create with Connie & Mary. This week we are all featuring our “Favorite Retiring” stamp set. There are so many to pick from and with so many retiring, that means we have some new products coming on June 1st. The stamp set I chose to feature today is the Painter’s Palette:

I attended college with an Art Major so I loved this set when it first debuted and haven’t used it in awhile. I love that you can just splatter the images any-which-way on the background:

The colors I used are: Lemon Lime Twist, Soft Sky and Rose Red. I also added in some Metallics Enamel Shapes and some Adhesive-Backed Sequins:

Here are the measurements for my layers:
- Card Base: Rose Red Cardstock 11″ x 4-1/4″. Score and fold at 5-1/2″.
- Layer #2: Soft Sky Cardstock 5-1/4″ x 4″. Glue to card base.
- Layer #3: Whisper White Cardstock 5″ x 3-3/4″. Stamp the splatter images repeatedly and diagonally using Rose Red, Soft Sky and Lemon Lime Twist Inks. Glue to card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Layer #4: The scallop from the Layering Squares Dies that measures 2″ using Whisper White Cardstock. Glue to the center of the card.
- Layer #5: Whisper White Cardstock and the sentiment stamped using Lemon Lime Twist Ink. Cut with a square from the Stitched Shapes Dies measuring 1-5/8″. Glue to card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Stamp the thumbtack image using Rose Red Ink and hand-cut. Glue to the corner of the square.
- Bling: Glue Metallics Enamel Shapes and Adhesive-Backed Sequins to the background.
