Good Morning! I hope you are having a great week. As you can see in the photo above, fall has been upon us here in Maine. This is my favorite birch tree on our property and it’s actually the last birch tree of the many we have that still has a handful of leaves remaining. I snapped this photo as I walked to the mailbox in the wee hours of this morning to add packages in the mail. I loved the scattering of the leaves on the ground.
We are almost at the end of October and a new year is creeping in. I have two calendars for you that I created during my weekly Afternoon Tea Time & a Card Class on Facebook. I host this class on my Stamp & Ink Designs Group Page. Come visit me and join our group:
My first project is a Calendar Easel Card Fold:

If you ordered or plan on ordering the Magic In This Night Designer Paper (153517), oh and it’s on sale this month during our Stampin’ Up! Designer Paper Sale, the reverse side of this paper is non-Halloween and look at the pretty pattern I used on my card today. I even coordinated the paper to the Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon (147897), a perfect match!

I colored on top of the flowers with Clear Wink Of Stella
which is hard to capture on my photo but it’s so glittery!

One tip that I used on the Magenta Madness Calendar is not having
any bling that coordinated. I used the Gold Glitter Enamel Dots
and color them with the Dark Magenta Madness Stampin’ Blends!
Perfect match! Just allow them to sit and dry for a bit.
And of course these fold flat for mailing. Here are the layers you need:
- Base 11″ x 4-1/4″. Score at 2-3/4″ & 5-1/2″ and fold in the easel shape.
- Front Layer 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″. Add glue to the first scored section of the base (to the 2-3/4″ scored line) and glue front layer even at the bottoms.
- Whisper White Cardstock 5-1/4″ x 4″. Stamp the sentiment at the top and glue to front layer.
- Designer Paper 4″ x 2-1/2″. Glue to the bottom of the white layer.
- Calendar Cardstock Layer, measure the calendar you are using (I purchase mine from Vippies.com, size large) and add 1/4″ on the length and width.

Next up is my Tower Desktop Calendar.
This also folds flat and is four-sided:

I used the same calendar from vippies that I used on the easel card. I removed all of the calendar pages to make them singles and glue three per tower side. I made my tower calendar super strong by adding designer paper cardboard and cardstock to the inside so this will not warp. You are using this for a whole year so you want this to be durable.
Here are some photos of the detail:

And fold flat. I actually used a two full sheets of cardstock
that measure 11″ x 8-1/2″ so you can tell this is a good-sized project:

The easiest way to create one or both calendars, is to follow along with my video. If your electronic device does not permit you to click on the video below, I have included a clickable link below:
