We have a really neat addition to our duo challenge this week at Dynamic Duos! Using Pool Party & Basic Black you also have the option of using some embossing! Now who doesn’t love embossing, whether it is dry embossing or heat embossing, both add some total awesomeness to a card or project. Here is the challenge for this week:

I decided to ink up my “Beautifully Baroque Embossing Folder” with “Basic Black Ink”, insert a piece of “Pool Party Cardstock” and run it through my “Big Shot Machine”. I love the look of the ink pressed into the cardstock. All my card needed was a few layers of cardstock, a strip of “Organza Ribbon”, some “Pearl Jewels” and a cute birthday sentiment. Here is a close-up of the inked embossing:

- Layer #1: Card base is Basic Black Cardstock 11″ x 4 1/4″, score at 5 1/2″ and folder
- Layer #2: Whisper White Cardstock 4″ x 5 1/4″
- Layer #3: Pool Party Cardstock 3 3/4″ x 5″ embossed using the Beautifully Baroque Embossing Folder and Basic Black Ink
- Layer #4: Basic Black Cardstock strip 4 1/4″ x 1 3/4″ cut on one long edge with the Large Scallop Edgelits Die. Stamp sentiment from the Blooming with Kindness stamp set using Craft White Ink, sprinkle White Embossing Powder and heat set with our Heat Tool. Add Pearl Jewels. Add Organdy Ribbon in place using Sticky Strip!
