Yay, two good reasons for today…one, it’s a long Memorial Day weekend for us in the USA and two, it’s time for a new Dynamic Duo’s Color Challenge! Take a look at our two new colors for this week:

And my card:

I was one of those late bloomers when it came time to purchase “Pleasant Poppies”. A very large background stamp. Maybe I was intimidated! I thought I would wait and the wait ended up being right at the time of the retirement list. When I noticed it was not on the list, I ordered it finally. You can’t tell how large this stamp is by looking at the stamped panel as I only stamped a portion of the stamp. It is beautiful isn’t it?

I stamped the image using Midnight Muse Ink and then used a Blender Pen to capture some of the ink from the lines of the stamped image and spread the ink here and there. I also used ink from the lid of my ink pad and spread some in the corners and on the edges.
I hope you will consider joining our challenge this week. Come on and have some fun with us at Dynamic Duos!

- Cardstock: Bashful Blue, Midnight Muse, Very Vanilla

What a pretty way to use the colours Debbie, love the paper you used too!
Thanks Lesley, you came up with a great color duo!
I did the same thing with this stamp! I'm so glad I got it, though. I has become a go-to for so many occasions. Love how it looks with your color combo; especially with that piece of DSP.
Thanks Chellie, I would have never thought to pair up these two colors this way and I think it worked rather well. I love this stamp!
Debbie, your card is gorgeous! It looks so beautiful with that paper.
Thanks you so much Lisa!
A very pretty stamp. Love how you added touches of ink!
Janet, it took me a whole year to cave in and finally buy it. Thanks!
Beautiful, Debbie! I love those poppies! They're so versatile, and so pretty!
This has become one of my favorite stamps Michelle! Thanks!
Debbie, there is so much to love about this card! The subtle coloring of the poppies, the layers, the 3 panels. Beautiful card!
Thanks so much Susie! Love being on the team with all of you girls!
Love these poppies, Debbie! So pretty 🙂
Thanks Lori!
Gorgeous card Debbie, those poppies are perfect 🙂
Thanks so much Hayley!
Beautiful, soft & elegant card Debbie. Love the sponging and the colouring of your flowers – very pretty. xx
Thanks Alison! There is actually no sponging, all done with a Blender Pen!
I was pretty late to get that stamp, too. But it is now one of my favourites! Such a lovely card. The panels in the background behind the main image are awesome! Beautiful colouring on the poppies!
I so agree with you about this stamp Tara. Thanks!
