Do you ever feel like all you do is eat, sleep and work? Dave and I have been going 200 mph. ever since we started building our new home and shop back in June of this year. Every spare minute we have is spent on finishing up the details. We go to bed exhausted every night. Yesterday we took the day off from work and completed putting up wainscot’ in the kitchen and framework around doors. The kitchen looks beautiful! Today we are hopefully going to complete the grouting of the tiles on the kitchen floor. We are both anxious to finish up this huge undertaking and get back to normal life. We have not spent much time with family in the past few months. Christmas will hopefully change that for a bit. We always travel “Up North” to spend Christmas day with my family. It has been a tradition, as my mom and the girls get together to cook as she has been doing this for over 50 years now. She lost her mom at the age of 18 to an aneurysm, so she took over the duties of preparing holiday feeds for her whole family (of 10!), plus us kids. Over the years, she has downsized to just us four kids and their families. I need to make some time next week to spend in our kitchen making sweets. I always bring a few platters of sweets along!
My son Greg is traveling from South Portland on Sunday to spend a week. He is bringing his kitten Zoey with him so we can have her neutered on Monday. The prices in the southern area of the state are 3 times to cost of having it done here. Zoey has been driving him nuts lately when she goes in heat. Hopefully this will alleviate the problem!
This will be my grand-daughter’s second Christmas which should be alot of fun this year. Last year she was too young to understand what was going on. She tried to crack open one of her gifts last night when she and her mom visited. She is also learning to use the “pottie” right now at 21 months old. She’s growing fast.
We will be delivering goodies to Dave’s immediate family on Sunday. They all have their own families and do their own thing for Christmas. It’s always nice to visit for a few hours and catch up with everyone. His sister Wendy is a new grand-mom (not her first) and we have a baby gift to deliver also.
I will probably not be posting daily until Christmas is overwith. The card I have for today is one I made a few weeks ago. The card uses the Big Shot, Dies, and Punches. It is so cute. I copied it from someone’s website and forgot to note who’s. Please send me a message if it is your card and I’ll post the information. I added brads for the eyes. If you would like the instructions, let me know.
Happy weekend to all!

Hi Bonnie, most of the products used to create this card are not longer available as this was made 6 years ago.
