Last week I demonstrated at a workshop for Dina and her group. I did a little something different for this workshop. I introduced the girls to a demonstrator magazine that I receive quarterly called “Stampin’ Success”. This is what my magazine looked like when it arrived for April:

I showed them how Stampin’ Up! graciously gives us samples to draw inspiration from or to use at some of our workshops. So this first card I demonstrated below is almost exactly like the one in the catalog. I used a different stamp set on the Kraft Cardstock that peeks through the butterfly hole:

Everything else I copied exactly. What is great about this card is when cutting out the Butterfly Framelits shape, you can use the butterfly for a 2nd card. I also added Clear Wink Of Stella on the Expressions Natural Elements that you see here:

The 2nd card comes from the front cover and I love how the Vintage Leaves stamp set was used over the Hardwood Background stamp:

Aren’t the leaves so pretty?

The last card is the one everyone got to create and take home with them. We embossed the Blackberry Bliss Cardstock base with the Polka Dot Embossing Folder on the de-bossed side and added circles cut with the 3/4″ Circle Punch and the Bohemian Designer Paper:

The photo below shows the embossing a little clearer:

I hope you enjoyed all 3 cards for today. It was a fun workshop. I had been so busy that week that using the magazine to help me out was a blessing!

Thanks Debbie for this enlightening reminder to use the tools we as demonstrators have at hand and to do the ultimate "sharing" to show our customers that being a demonstrator can be as easy as following what's available, instead of reinventing. I'm going to be sharing the link to this post with my downline in my next team meeting so they can read and learn from it too. Super appreciated!
All nicely done cards!
Great cards and how nice that SU provides such wonderful ideas for you to showcase their product with.
