Hello! I played in my stamp room recently just for fun. That doesn’t happen often as I am usually creating for classes. I altered some Mini Composition Notebooks. When Dave’s hospice nurse’s aid comes to the house each day, I can go run some quick errands and while doing so, I spied these Mini Composition Notebooks on one quick trip and grabbed them. I knew immediately what I wanted to do with them too!
I found some cute animal images from different stamp sets and as you look at each notebook, you’ll notice that the layout is the same on each one. All I did was switch out the colors, ribbons and embossing folders on each one. Aren’t they the cutest? I listed the products used on each one of the notebooks.
- I cut two pieces of the cardstock for each notebook a little larger than the front and back, and embossed both pieces. I then glued one piece to the front and one to the back lined up against the black spine. Trim around the edges with Paper snips.
- Stamp the image on Basic White Cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and color with Stampin’ Blends Markers. Cut with the Stitched So Sweetly Dies #2. Glue to the front of the mini notebook.
- Stamp the sentiment on Basic White Cardstock using the same ink color as the front of the mini notebook. Cut with the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. Glue to the front overlapping the image layer.
- Wrap coordinating ribbon around the front spine over the black section and at the top, leave about 1″ on both ends and cut into an angle. Wrap Linen Thread around both ends and tie into a bow.
