Hi Readers! I hope your weekend is going well. For us here in Maine, there will be no Easter Egg hunts outdoors this weekend for the kiddos. What a drastic change from last year. Here is Kaitlynn with her eggs last year at this time:

Currently we still have about a foot of old snow just hanging on. It snowed a little on Wednesday but now we are ready for the rain to take over and finally rid us of it.
For today’s project, I have an Easter card using the stamp set “Crosses of Hope”:

This is the catalog description from Stampin’ Up! which ultimately sums it all up:
This
set includes a trio of ornate crosses, beautifully symbolizing the
power of faith to strengthen and soothe the human soul. Along with a
message appropriate for any occasion, you’ll find a multitude of
opportunities to adorn your projects with these crosses.
Notice how the piece of “Wild Wasabi 1/4″ Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon” sits on my cross? How did I do that?

I used my Exacto knife and cut little snips along the top and bottom of the horizontal parts of the cross. I then slid my ribbon under the cuts at the top and pulled them back out from the bottom. How clever is that? The cross and sentiment are both inked in “VersaMark Ink” and embossing using “Early Espresso Embossing Powder” and my “Heat Tool”:

My flowers were cut from the flower image in the “Punch Pack”. Once glued in place I added the tiniest of the “Pearl Jewels” in the center of each flower. I hope you have enjoyed my card for today. I will have another Easter card for you tomorrow. I hope you plan on visiting again!

Beautiful Easter card Debbie, love how you added the ribbon. Happy Easter!
Thanks Susan. Exacto knife to the rescue. My hubby hates it when I dig it out because I'm so clumsy!
Love your Easter card, Debbie – and the description. Your right. That about sums it up. I especially like how you sprinkled your flowers across the card. I am pinning your card so I can remember to do that.
Sorry to hear you still have snow.:( We finally got rid of ours and thankfully the rain is just staying rain. Will this winter ever end?? In spite of the snow, Happy Easter.
Thanks so much Lisa. I know you are in Massachusetts, not too far from me but I'm sure your weather is better than here. It is raining tonight so hopefully the snow will be gone when I get up in the morning!
