Welcome to a Saturday Blog Hop at Create with Connie & Mary. Our theme this week is Ombre Cards. I love the way I completed my ombre on this pretty card. You like?

I used the same flower image from the Tasteful Touches stamp set repeatedly by changing the ink colors from dark to light. I started at the bottom and worked my way upwards by using the Masking Technique. The colors I used:

Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Pretty Peacock Cardstock 11″ x 4-1/4″. Score and fold at 5-1/2″.
- Layer #2: Coastal Cabana Cardstock 5-1/4″ x 4″. Glue to card front.
- Layer #3: Whisper White Cardstock 5″ x 3-3/4″. Using three post-it notes, stamp the flower image at the top where it’s sticky underneath. Hand-cut each flower on the inside of the stamped outermost lines. Start at the bottom right-hand corner and stamp one flower using Pretty Peacock Ink. Cover the flower with a post-it note. Stamp the next flower in the same row in the middle (you will stamp partly over the post-it note). Add a post-it note over the 2nd stamped flower image and stamp a third flower. Leave the post-it notes in place and start a 2nd row at the right. Once the first flower in the 2nd row is stamped, remove the post-it note below it and cover the first flower in the second row. Keep stamping and moving the post-it notes each time. The next color for rows 3 and 4 is Coastal Cabana and finish with 2 more rows using Mint Macaron Ink. Set aside.
- Sentiment: Whisper White Cardstock 3/4″ x 3-3/4″. Stamp the sentiment using Pretty Peacock Ink. Set aside.
- Border Die-cuts: Cut two border die-cuts using Pretty Peacock & Coastal Cabana Cardstocks and the die from the Birds & More Dies. Glue to the back of the sentiment layer and trim to fit. Glue to the bottom of the white layer about 1-1/4″ from bottom. Glue white layer to card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Bling: Add Rhinestone Jewels to the die-cuts.
