Create with Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop!

HELLO SUMMER! It’s our theme for our Saturday Blog Hop at Create with Connie & Mary. Is summer finally here where you live? A few months from now, Dave and I will be attending the annual Balloon Fest in our area so that is what my thoughts were for today’s card:

I am so happy that the Lift Me Up stamp set and the Up & Away Thinlits Dies will be available in our new Annual Catalog. We get to play with this bundle for at least one more year. The same holds true with the Softly Falling Embossing Folder that I used for my background!

Make a card just like this one by following these steps & measurements:

• Card Base: Pool Party Cardstock 11″ x 4-1/4″. Score and fold at 5-1/2″.
• Layer #2: Blushing Bride Cardstock 5-1/4″ x 4″. Glue to card base.
• Layer #3: Whisper White Cardstock 5″ x 3-3/4″. Emboss using the Softly Falling Embossing Folder. Glue to card front.
• Clouds: Cut both sizes of clouds using Whisper White Cardstock and the dies. Glue to card front. I cut a total of 5 clouds.
• Balloons: Stamp the largest balloon using Pool Party Ink and the smaller balloon using Blushing Bride Ink. Cut both balloons with the dies and glue in place on the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Add Pearl Jewels to each balloon.
• Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment using Pool Party Ink on a piece of Whisper White Cardstock measuring 3/4″ x 3″. Snip the end on the right into a “V”. Trim the left end so you can slide it under the balloon and glue in place.
