Did you see something missing from my blog post on Thursday? Did you notice that I did not post my usual project for the Thursday Challenge? Want to know why? ……BECAUSE, we just started something BRAND NEW at Create with Connie & Mary! Part of the Thursday Design Team has moved on over to Saturday Blog Hops! I LOVE blog hops!
Here’s how things are going to work. The Design Team will show you projects created with a specific stamp set each Saturday and you’ll just blog hop from one designer to the next. You may have arrived here from Nicole Tugrul‘s blog. Wasn’t her project just gorgeous? If you are starting here with me, I will direct you to the next blog at the end of my post.
So for this week, we chose the “Lotus Blossom” stamp set from the Sale-A-Bration Brochure. This is my card for this week:
When first eying the card, it looks like two panels that sit side-by-side. Well, yes they do but then magic happens. Look how the card opens up to reveal two easel cards:
This card fold is called a “Double-Twisted Easel Card”. I added the large sentiment from the Big On You stamp set. For the Lotus Blossom’s I used two colors only, Rose Red & Wisteria Wonder. I stamped two flowers on scrap Whisper White Cardstock and hand-cut. I glued one to each easel using Stampin’ Dimensionals and added Rhinestone Jewels in the background:
