Good morning! I’ve had quite a few of you message me to ask how Dave is doing. Life becomes a blur when dealing with cancer, appointments, doctors, phone calls…it feels like it’s never-ending sometimes. I don’t even remember what I updated you with last time.
Dave is on treatment #3 which is two oral chemo pills he takes at home daily. He’s been on this treatment for about a month now. What is hard to explain is how treatment #1 was still working in the background and caused so much to his body. When immunotherapy works, it’s a great thing but when it doesn’t, it attacks some healthy parts of the body. The two worst areas that were affected were the liver (he almost went into liver failure) and his thyroid (which almost stopped working completely). He was put on a very high dosage of prednisone and about five weeks into it, his liver numbers finally came back to normal. A normal number is 40 and his was over 1000. Same with his thyroid, the normal is 4 and his is still over 50. With the thyroid not working properly, he has fatigue, dizziness and is a little unsteady on his feet.
He went five weeks without any treatments and they way I look at it, is God was allowing his body to heal before his oncologist started a new treatment. Because he was on such a high dosage of prednisone, he became a prednisone-induced diabetic so required insulin. His numbers are going down on that as well. It’s a big puzzle, you fix one thing and something else pops up. Thanks so much for asking about Dave. We won’t know until a follow-up scan is one in the next few months, if these treatments are working.

I have changed my schedule a little for 2020 as it is sometimes difficult to schedule my Facebook Live videos in advance, and then have to cancel due to appointments. I am now Live every Sunday at 7:30 pm EST and each week I will mix it up and still feature: a Card Fold, or a Technique, or a 3D Project, or Step-It-Up Sunday and if there happens to be a 5th Sunday during the month, that will be a Surprise week. If you haven’t found me on Facebook, here’s my page and you can “follow” and “like” me to receive notifications:
Last week was Sunday Share Card Fold and I used the Country Club Bundle to create a Masculine Fancy Card Fold. I love that the bottom of the center panel has a Velcro dot to lift up and peek inside. You can see what I mean when you browse these photos:

When stamping on the inside of the card, I made sure that the image was in perfect position to be covered with the center layer when closed. The card below is the one I created in advance of my class and the gray Monochromatic card is the one I created while filming my Facebook Live Class:

I am actually using this card as a monthly Challenge on my Stamp & Ink Designs Group on Facebook. This is a group that I welcome anyone that wants to join us. I hosted monthly challenges, Weekend Winner periodically and my Afternoon Tea Time & a Card video every two weeks. Come visited and ask to join my group page here:
Are you ready to create a card just like mine? You can view the video you see below or if your electronic device does not permit it, I have included a clickable link below the video:
Will you be placing an order today? If so, please use the monthly hostess code when prompted at checkout to earn free products from me. If your order is $150 of more, no need to add the code so you can earn your own hostess rewards! Thank you so much for supporting a small business owner!

Hi Debbie!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE your Country Club card!! My husband, 2 brothers & 3 sons-in-law play golf. Your card will be perfect for either their birthdays or Father's Day. Thanks so much for such a great card idea!
Thanks for the update on Dave. So glad that things have stabilized for him and for you recently. This will give you both time to catch your breath and rest up some. Its good to see him out in that northern white stuff…snow…lol?
