Concertina Card Fold!

July 26, 2016 5 Comments

The Concertina Card Fold has been on my “to try” list for a long time and I’m finally getting around to it. Do you save ideas and they seem to sit there because there is so much to create in the stamping world? I have a never-ending list and I slowly cross one off now and then.

So here is my card for today which I love!

You can search for this card fold either on Pinterest or Google and you’ll find lots of ways to make this card. It is too difficult to explain in words so I don’t have the directions for you. I’m sure you can find a video on YouTube also. Here’s a close-up of the accordian portion in the center with my sentiment:

Here’s another view showing you how I decorated the front panel of this card. The Fruit Stand Designer Paper and coordinating Fresh Fruit stamp set look fabulous with all the layers and folds. Don’t you think so too?
Here are a few more angles of the card fold.
This is how the card folds as you start folding the accordian layers:

And this is what it looks like when flat. You can easily mail this card with
maybe an additional stamp added to the envelope for thickness:

And here it is open again. It’s so lovely that I had to show it twice!

I sure hope you do a tutorial on this card. I looked all over google and Pinterest found all kinds of folds but nothing like this one.

Thanks for sharing the video. Maybe it isn't as fiddly as I thought!

That paper looks so fresh and scrumptious! The card itself is fabulous, but looks fiddly to make. Sometimes I get a wild hair and try these things out. I like things to work right the first time and that rarely happens when you are experimenting or trying something new.
