We have a color challenge for you today and because Valentine’s is soon approaching, I opted to create a Valentine’s card. I hope you will like it as much as I do!
This card is a “long” card and will fit perfectly in a #10 envelope with a little bit of wiggle room. I will list all of the layers a little later in my post. I used two stamp sets today from the Occasions 2018 Catalog. The Heart Happiness stamp set and the Sure Do Love You stamp set. I also used the Sweet & Sassy Framelits Dies and the Lots To Love Box Framelits Dies. I love all of the heart images, don’t you?
I used Stampin’ Dimensionals for some of the smaller hearts for height and finished off my card by adding Metallic Enamel Shapes:
Want to create a card just like this one? Here are my layers:
- Card Base: Basic Gray Cardstock 8-1/2″ x 7-1/2″. Score and fold at 3-3/4″.
- Layer #2: Smoky Slate Cardstock 8-1/4″ x 3-1/2″. Glue to card base.
- Layer #3: Real Red Cardstock 8″ x 3-1/4″. Glue to card front.
- Layer #4: Whisper White Cardstock 7-3/4″ x 3″. Stamp the two large hearts in the center using Real Red & Powder Pink Inks. Stamp some smaller hearts as shown on the photo using Whisper White, Real Red and Powder Pink Cardstocks and Inks. Cut all of the hearts with the coordinating dies and glue some of the hearts flat and some with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Stamp the small leaf image throughout the background using Smoky Slate Ink. Glue to card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Bling: Glue a few of the silver Metallic Enamel Shapes hearts on the front of the card as shown in the photo.
