Hi Everyone. So glad you decided to stop by today because we have a new sketch challenge at Create with Connie & Mary to play with. Here is the sketch for this week:
I decided to use the square layer on the front to create a little scenery for you today:
I think Lovely As A Tree has got to be the stamp set that has been the most popular and our longest carry-over set of all time at Stampin’ Up!
I started out by adding 3 strips of Basic Black Cardstock measuring 3/4″ wide on my card front. I then added embossing at the top and the bottom using the Needlepoint Border Embossing Folder:
I stamped part of the trees using StazOn Jet Black Ink on my square that I cut with the Squares Collection Framelits Dies and then sponged some Pool Party and Pear Pizzazz Inks. I even sponged a little bit of ink on my sentiment also. Quite a few of my customers ask me why I use StazOn for my choice of black ink. That’s because it never smudges when coloring and the images stamp so crisp.
I layered the square over the next size up of framelits using Stampin’ Dimensionals and added Stampin’ Dimensionals again to glue to my card base:
