Welcome to a new week with a new challenge at Create with Connie & Mary! I hope you have enjoyed my once a week, month long stamp showcase using the new “Best of Flowers Stamp Set” during our challenges. Today’s card uses the last stamp image in this set.

Let’s see the new sketch challenge first:

And my card for this week:

One of the stamp sets that I sold when it retired was a stamp set called “Because I Care” (I regretted selling it!) and it included this stamp image, but in a much larger scale. I really like the smaller scale of this hydrangea:

I used quite a bit of dry embossing on this card as I didn’t want to use too much of any designer paper to make the card too busy. Instead I opted for single colored cardstock and embossed the panels. Here are my layers:

  • Regal Rose Card Base: embossed with the Stripes Embossing Folder
  • Whisper White Cardstock: Embossing with the Woodgrain Embossing Folder
  • Designer Paper: Brights Patterns Paper Pack
  • Crumb Cake Cardstock: Delicate Designs Embossing Folder
  • Stamped Image on Whisper White Cardstock using the Ovals Framelits Dies. Stamped image in VersaMark Ink and sprinkled Early Espresso Embossing Powder. Color the image using Stampin’ Write Markers
  • Sentiment on Whisper White Cardstock, also embossed. Cut with the 1 1/4″ Circle Punch
  • Ribbon: 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon

Stampin’ Up! Supplies:

  • Cardstock: Whisper White, Regal Rose, Crumb Cake,
  • Inks: VersaMark, Stampin’ Write Markers
  • Stamps: Best of Flowers, Petite Pairs
  • DSP: Brights Patterns Paper Pack
  • Accessories: 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon
  • Tools: Big Shot Machine, Striped Folder, Woodgrain Folder, Delicate Designs Folder, 1 1/4″ Circle Punch, Ovals Framelits Dies, Heat Tool, Early Espresso Embossing Powder, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Mini Glue Dots

I really like how you added the sentiment in the circle. And I love your hydrangea! One of my favorite flowers – you colored it beautifully. Makes me think of Cape Cod. 🙂

I still have the larger one, but this small version is SO tempting! Love the colors and textures you used!

Yes, you're tempting me with this flower.. I'm trying to resist it but.. Your card is so feminine with the pink and green and I love the touch of Delicate Designs embossed scallops on the one layer.
