Good Morning Blog Readers! Today is sketch challenge time at Create with Connie & Mary. The sketch below is provided for us to use:
Dave and I have 2 kitty cats that we adore. Both kitty’s, Abbie & Katie were shelter cats. I think shelter cats make the most loving animals. The image I used today for my card reminds me of my 2 cats. Just look at the loving contented look on her face:
I embossed her using VersaMark Ink and Black Embossing Powder. I created a little scenery on my Two Tags Die shape:
I love the look of black on black with the cardstock and the ribbon. Just enough to separate the layers but not stand out too much. I even gave my kitty some bling by adding a solo Pearl Jewel to her collar. The bats in the sky layer are from the stamp set Wicked Cool. There are actually 6 bats on the stamp image but I chose to ink up 3 of them, cover the other 3 with masking tape and stamp, voila–3 bats only!
