Fall is in the air here in Maine. The temps are down to the 30’s and 40’s at night now so how appropriate that we are celebrating fall this week at Create with Connie & Mary. I just know that my teammates will have some outstanding projects for you today for our Saturday Blog Hop.
I decided to use my Acorn Builder Punch along with the coordinating Acorny Thank You stamp set for today’s card:

I used the punch with several different colored cardstock to create layers of acorns. The top layer is the stamped layer and the others I left unstamped:

Here are the steps to creating this card:
- Card Base: Whisper White Cardstock 11″ x 4-1/4″. Score in the center and fold.
- Layer #2: Whisper White Cardstock 5″ x 3-3/4″. Don’t glue to the card base just yet.
- Acorns: Punch out 3 acorns with the punch and the following cardstock colors: Tangelo Twist, Wild Wasabi and Delightful Dijon. Using Tip Top Taupe Cardstock, stamp the bottom of the acorns with the striped image three times and cut out with the punch. Stamp 3 polka dots tops for the acorns on Whisper White Cardstock and cut out with the punch. Start layering your acorn colors with the first row of Tangelo Twist acorns by gluing about 1/4″ from the bottom of your cardstock layer. For the Wild Wasabi acorns, cut one in half and layer. Next is the Delightful Dijon acorns and finally the stamped acorns. You will cut one of these in half also. Glue the tops of the stamped acorns using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment above the acorns using Tip Top Taupe Ink. Glue the cardstock layer to the card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Next in line for the blog hop is my awesome teammate Nicole Tugrul. Make sure you take the whole hop to see some great fall inspiration! Use the links below to take you to the next stop:
