How is the weather up in your neck of the woods? It has been fall here big time! The leaves have all changed to their fall colors, the farmers are finishing up with this years potato crop and most of us have stored and bundled up our summer outdoorsy stuff….sigh!
So today for Create with Connie & Mary, we are showcasing a small Fall/Thanksgiving treat/favor for our Saturday Blog Hop. How appropriate don’t you think?

I used my Gift Bag Punch Board to create this treat bag with a flap and I even added a belly band to hold it closed:

The Gold Glimmer Paper looks fabulous as a layer to my acorn from the Acorny Thank You stamp set. Don’t you just love the Into The Woods designer paper? It coordinates so well with the stamp set:

I used the “L” setting on my Gift Bag Punch Board to create my bag. In order to create a larger sized bag, I used two pieces of designer paper measuring 6-1/2″ x 7-1/4″ and glued them together.
To create a flap, you need to first score the bag like you normally do and then flip the designer paper 180 degrees and score a 2nd horizontal line on the opposite side to the first horizontal line. This is what your designer paper looks like once all the scoring and cutting is completed:

You only need one piece with a flap so to make it easy, cut and score the 2nd piece the same way but cut away on the 2nd horizontal score line. Glue the two pieces together and finish assembling your box.
