CCMC #360!

June 18, 2015 9 Comments

Now that I am on the Saturday Blog Hop Team for Create with Connie & Mary, I haven’t had time to play along with the Thursday challenges. Today I decided to make time to play along! Here is the color challenge for this week’s challenge:

And this is the card I created for the challenge:

The Brick Wall Embossing Folder makes such a nice background for all of my layers, don’t you think? And if you peek at the White Perfect Accents below, I colored them with a gray Permanent marker:
Here are the supplies I used for my card:

  • Cardstock: Smoky Slate, Island Indigo, Whisper
    White
  • Inks: Early Espresso, Smoky Slate, Island Indigo
  • Tools: Project Life Corner Punch, Brick Wall
Embossing Folder, Leaflets Framelits Dies, Stampin’ Dimensionals
  • Stamps: Vintage Leaves, An Open Heart
  •  Accessories: White Baker’s Twine, White Perfect Accents
  •  Misc: Gray Permanent Marker

A beautiful elegant card Debbie! I like the cascade of leaves and the embossed background. I also liked how you coloured the accents to match the card colours – I have a feeling that SU always intended these accents to be used with the Blendabilities…such a shame they were discontinued. Glad you could play along with us at the Thursday challenge this week. 🙂

I love the tied cascade of leaves against the brick wall Debbie and how you interspersed your sentiment. Great use of the accents to create your own custom enamel dots too. Thanks for joining us for our colour challenge over at Create with Connie and Mary this week!

What a pretty card! The leaf shapes show up beautifully against the Island Indigo brick wall, and the leaves look great in these colors. Thank you for joining us at Create with Connie and Mary!

Does the framelet work with the gently falling set?
