Butterfly Brilliance Three Cards Today! - Debbie Henderson, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

I love butterflies, but you know that already don’t you? When a new Stampin’ Up! catalog goes live, I look for anything with butterflies and it’s always first on my list. The four products you see above, are all new. So new that the first three products will appear in our new Annual Catalog on May 4th BUT, Stampin’ Up! released these three products early and also added in the Natural Touch Specialty Paper. We had some new designer paper that you’ll see on my first card, but the designer paper is sold out already. Darn!

The Butterfly Bijou Designer Paper was really neat because one sheet had pre-printed butterflies that you could cut out with the Brilliant Wings Dies. That’s what I did on this first card:

But don’t despair, if you really like this card, you can use the stamp set to stamp and cut your own butterflies. I used the Natural Touch Specialty Paper as one of my layers and embossed it using the Brick & Mortar Embossing Folder. I love the woodgrain look paired with this embossing:

Cardstock colors used are Balmy Blue, Misty Moonlight and Basic White:

The next two cards are cards that I cased from Stampin’ Up! projects. One other detail that is neat about the butterfly stamps is having all of the butterflies connected into one giant stamp. It was easy to stamp the butterfly background with this huge stamp in one swoop:

I added a layer of Vellum Cardstock cut with the Stitched Shapes Dies and

added a stamp butterfly that I colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.

Colors used are Gorgeous Grape, Purple Posy, Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie.

My final card using the same butterflies background and coloring with a Stampin’ Write Maker this time. I love the monochromatic blue layers with just a splash of Mossy Meadow Braided Linen Trim and the Pastel Pearls:

Colors are Pacific Point, Seaside Spray, Basic White and Mossy Meadow.
