Welcome to a Saturday Blog Hop at Create with Connie & Mary. Our theme this week is Bring May Flowers, kind of a spin-off to last week’s theme of April Showers! I have a pretty spectacular card to show you today using the Ornate Garden Suite of products:

I started out with a card base using Thick Whisper White Cardstock measuring 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″. Next, cut the white & gold foil sheet of designer paper from the Ornate Garden Designer Paper to measure 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″ and glue that to the front of the card base.

Next I used the Rectangle Stitched Dies that measures 3-7/8″ x 3-1/2″ to cut out the Mint Macaron gold foil sheet from the designer paper pack and glued that to the center of the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Although this is a designer paper layer, you can still see all of the stitched lines from the die:

For the sentiment layer, I cut a piece of Whisper White Cardstock that measures 4-1/2″ x 1/2″ and stamped the sentiment using Mint Macaron Ink. I cut the ends into a banner shape with my Paper Snips and glued the strip to the bottom of the second layer flat:

I used the flower border die using the Ornate Borders Dies and Whisper White Cardstock and trimmed some of the flowers off so they fit on the rectangle with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. Finally, I cut some of the single flowers with the single dies and the Gold Foil Sheets and layered them over and around the white border flowers. I also added Gilded Gems in the center of the gold flowers and Pearl Jewels in the center of the white flowers.
