Our theme today for our Saturday Blog Hop at Create with Connie & Mary is to add the word “B-O-O” to our projects. At the moment, I do not own any lettered stamp sets or letter dies so I had to get a little creative with my “B-O-O”. I knew I wanted to sponge a background and add the word on my moon like this:

I found the stamp set Icing On The Cake that had cute letters in the sentiments so I colored one letter at a time with my Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker and stamped all three letters! It worked!
For my colony of bats, I used the Seasonal Tags Framelits Dies and glued them all in place. Once they were all glued down, I added the liquid from the Fine Tip Glue Pen and look how pretty and glossy they are:

The adhesive dries hard and non-sticky so it’s perfect for the glossy look. Here are the layers I used on my card today:
- Card Base: Basic Black Cardstock 11″ x 4-1/4″. Score and fold at 5-1/2″.
- Rich Razzleberry Cardstock 5-1/4″ x 4″. Emboss using the Garden Trellis Embossing Folder and glue to card base.
- Whisper White Cardstock 4-3/4″ x 3-1/2″. Cut out a circle using the 2″ Circle Punch and place on the cardstock piece as a stencil. Sponge Rich Razzleberry and Elegant Eggplant Inks around the circle. Remove the circle and sponge Crushed Curry Ink inside the circle and a little on the outside.
- BOO: Color the individual letters from the Icing On The Cake stamp set using a Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker and stamp each letter at the top of the moon.
- Web: Cut out 1 web using the Seasonal Tags Framelits Dies and Basic Black Cardstock. Glue to the top corner of the sponged layer.
- Bats: Cut out 8 bats using the Seasonal Tags Framelits Dies and Basic Black Cardstock. Glue in place as shown on the card.
- Bling: Add a few Black Rhinestones mixed in with the bats. Glue cardstock layer to the front of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Gloss: Color each bat with the Fine Tip Glue Pen. Set card aside to dry flat before handling.
