Stampin’ Up! has this really neat die called the Blizzard Thinlits Die. I was using it a few days ago to cut out a flurry of snowflakes I needed for a project. In doing so, I ended up with a piece of cardstock that had a bunch of snowflake shaped holes in it. You wouldn’t think I would toss that away would you? I didn’t. Instead, I used it for a background layer on todays card which is shown below:
Isn’t that the neatest looking card? I love the way the Pacific Point Cardstock peeks through the holes to add color. I also added a darker shade of blue for the card base and sentiment layer by using Night Of Navy Cardstock. To finish off my card, I added Pearl Jewels and some Night Of Navy Gingham Ribbon tied into a bow:

Card Layers:
-
Card Base: Night Of Navy Cardstock 11″ x 4-1/4″. Score and fold at 5-1/2″.
-
Layer #2: Pacific Point Cardstock 5-3/8″ x 4-1/8″
-
Layer #3: Whisper White Cardstock 5-1/4″ x 4″.
-
Layer #4: Night Of Navy Cardstock 4-1/4″ x 3/4″.
