You’ve seen me use our new Blending Brushes HERE in this previous post. Have I told you they are my new favorite product? And I haven’t even made a dent in all of my new products yet but I know these are number one on my list. You NEED to add these to your shopping cart on January 5th when the new catalog goes live. If you don’t believe me, I’m going to convince you with a technique I’m showing you today.

Cut (2) card bases from Thick Basic White Cardstock to measure 11″ x 4-1/4″. Score and fold both card bases at 5-1/2″ and fold on score line. Using one of the card bases, place the diecut over the front. I used Washi Tape to hold it in place on each side. Start with one ink color and add a few spots of color as shown below:

I started with Misty Moonlight Ink and then followed with Daffodil Delight Ink and Soft Sea Foam Ink. Once the whole cardstock piece and diecut have been colored with all three inks, remove the Washi Tape, add color where the Washi Tape was sitting and pull the diecut away from the card front. You will find some really pretty stenciled ink colors;

Once you’ve pulled away the diecut layer, add adhesive to the back of the diecut and glue to Basic White Cardstock Base #2. It’s very unique how you use one diecut as a stencil and end up with two cards! You can see chose-ups of the detail on each card below:
