It was all about butterflies last week for Week #5 of my Beginner’s Class. The girls had requested some “thinking of you” cards so I thought butterflies would be perfect. The first card uses the Butterfly Basics stamp set and we stamped in layers to create a collage:
The 3D butterfly looks pretty glued over the stamped images. The butterfly is from the Butterflies Thinlits Dies:
For the 2nd card, we used the retired Swallowtail Butterfly image and stamped by keeping the cardstock base open. The edge of the butterfly was cut by hand and layered with a piece of Dapper Denim Cardstock:

We also added a smaller, layered butterfly using the Papillon Potpourri stamp set along with the Elegant Butterfly and Bitty Butterfly Punches:

These are gorgeous! I like how the swallowtail butterfly continues along the back. It took me a long time to figure out how you got the blue backing on the card front but I figured it out! I may be slow but I'm still ticking!
