Happy Saturday everyone. I hope your weekend is going to be wonderful and if you don’t have plans, make sure you hop with us today for our Saturday Blog Hop at Create with Connie & Mary. We have a “beach theme” going on today and here’s my project:

When I first spied the little chair from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies, I was in love. I didn’t even notice what else was in the die set. I just had to have that chair. So for today’s beach theme, I thought the chair was perfect. Do you agree?

I also added other stamped layers using the Seaside Shore stamp set and the Wood Textures Designer Paper was perfect for a background layer. Did you notice that I colored the designer paper? I sponged it with Pool Party Ink. Neat huh?

Here are the steps to creating this card:
- Card Base: Early Espresso Cardstock 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″.
- Layer #2: Crushed Curry Cardstock 5-1/4″ x 4″. Glue to card base.
- Layer #3: Wood Textures Designer Paper 5″ x 3-3/4″. Using a Stamping Sponge, apply Pool Party Ink over the designer paper. Glue to card front.
- Layer #4: Cut a circle using Early Espresso Cardstock and the Stitched Shapes Dies circle measuring 2-7/8″. Using the die-cut circle, cut a circle on the inside to form a ring using the Layering Circles Framelits Dies measuring 2-3/8″. Cut a 2nd circle with the Stitched Shapes Dies using Whisper White Cardstock. Use an Aqua Painter to add Pool Party Ink for the sky and Crumb Cake for the beach sand over the white circle. Stamp a scenery using the High Tide stamp set with Crushed Curry, Early Espresso and Crumb Cake Ink. Glue the white layer to the Early Espresso Cardstock ring. Add Rhinestone Jewels to the ring and glue to card front.
- Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment twice. First using Crumb Cake Ink and then again with Early Espresso Ink. The Crumb Cake Ink will create a shadow.
- Chair: Cut the chair using the die-cut with Crushed Curry Cardstock. Glue in place on the card front.
- Stamped images: Stamp the images from the Seaside Shore stamp set using Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Crushed Curry and Pool Party Ink. Hand-cut all stamped images and glue in place as shown on the card.
- Ribbon: Add a small bow to the anchor using White Baker’s Twine.
