Baby Steps

I am on a single stamp kick again today. Here is another stamp sold individually in the “A la CARTE” section of the Idea Book & Catalog. These stamps can be found on pages 18-20 and are all under $10!

This one is called “Baby Steps”. Picture stamping this in “Bashful Blue”, or “Certainly Celery” or “So Saffron……….I chose “Pretty In Pink” Classic Ink. I even stamped the image twice so that I could cut out the ears with my “Paper Snips” and I popped them on my card with “Stampin’ Dimensionals” for a 3D effect!

The background cardstock is “Crumb Cake” which was embossed with the “Perfect Polka Dots Impressions Folder” and my “Big Shot”. The stamped image is stamped on “Whisper White” cardstock and I glued a small piece of “Pretty In Pink” cardstock on one side.

Notice the ribbon treatment? So easy……..add a piece of “Sticky Strip” the whole length of the card vertically, between the “Whisper White” and the “Pretty In Pink” cardstocks. Remove backing of “Sticky Strip” so that it is ready for glueing purposes. Using “Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon” (keep it on the roll), fold over the first edge and glue in place by pressing on the “Sticky Strip”. Make little gathers with you fingers and alternate them here and there in different directions to create the effect you see on the card. When you are almost at the end, snip your ribbon a little longer than the remainder of the card, fold under and press to glue in place.

For the final “WOW”, I added “Pearl Jewels”.
