I have to tell you a little story about a workshop I held a few years ago. I had 14 girls in attendance and one of the girls pipes up and says “We aren’t making birthday cards again are we”?

We all looked at each other, some with their mouths open in disbelief and one attendee even looked at her and said “don’t you send out birthday cards”? She actually answered no! In my mind I thought it was peculiar that this person did not like to create birthday cards. And I very seldom make birthday cards in my workshop so I think that was why most of the girls were in shock. This is a standing joke now whenever I host a workshop. Someone usually pipes up and asks “Are we making birthday cards today” and this usually causes a little chuckle from everyone.

I actually ended up CASEing this card from the catalog but switched up the color combination and adding multiple cardstock layers. I embossed with the new embossing folder and used the non-bumpy side and added color by sponging over the embossing. How beautiful is that?
