Want to see some more Stampin’ Up! Awesomeness? Our first day on the cruise ship to Alaska, we all boarded in Seattle Washington between 11: 30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Dave and I flew into Seattle at 3ish and arrived to board the ship at 3: 30 p.m. Phew….that was close! Next year I’ll know better to fly in the day before. Why? The night before we were due to fly out, I received a text from United Airlines to inform us that there would be a delay for our connecting flight in Chicago due to thunderstorms. I was in panic mode thinking we were going to miss the ship. Anyway, to make a very long story short and after many phone calls and emails, we went with the plan. It started raining as we boarded. Another phew!
Once we were all boarded on the cruise ship, the first thing that we were all required to do was to attend a safety meeting. Depending on what was on your ID card was your assigned area on the ship. You had to go there and listen to safety measures if something were to go wrong while cruising. Just like you do on an airplane before take-off.
Half an hour later, all demonstrators and our first guest attended a Welcome Reception:

I snapped this photo of Dave and I. We were seated in the very front row of the auditorium/theatre and you can see how many of our Stampin’ Up! family was sitting behind us. This place is HUGE!

We sat with some of our friends that we hung out with through most of our trip (excluding the men):

That’s me sitting in the front on the left with Lisa Brown. In the back row on the left is Margaret VanVliet and Beverlee Morales on the right. We had such a good time together. With the guys too of course!
Sara Douglass, our Stampin’ Up! CEO took the stage. She’s always fabulous!

During these demonstrator gatherings, we talk business, we talk new upcoming products, we get to see demonstrations and one of the first things we received was this beauty:
If you are a customer of mine, you should have or soon will be receiving your copy of the new Holiday Catalog in the mail. Most of my customers have reported that their catalog has arrived. It’s really hard to sit there and not want to just view the catalog throughout the gathering, we also receive what Stampin’ Up! calls Prize Patrols. What that means is everything that is going on up on the stage is halted and we get some type of gift. The first gift we received was the new upcoming Corrugated Embossing Folder. Think back to the old Crimper tool and that’s what this embossing folder looks like. I love it!

During one of our Prize Patrols, Stampin’ Up! wanted to thank our spouses, significant others or the guest of your choice, by giving them this beautiful hot/cold insulated cup. The cup has the Stampin’ Up! logo on it and it is so pretty. I could hear all of the demo’s behind me saying “that’s mine”. So funny! Dave ended up giving it to me when we got home after he tried it once. He said it kept his water cold all day long but thought I should have it! What a hubby (and I never asked for it, promise!).
Our 2nd Prize Patrol was the Santa’s Workshop Memories & More Cards and Envelopes pack. This pack includes 10 each of two sizes of card bases and envelopes:

Our 3rd Prize Patrol consisted of two products and one of them is something I’ve been waiting for a LONG TIME! We finally have our very own Take Your Pick Tool and you can purchase refills! Woohoo! What is a Take Your Pick Tool? The tool has a sticky end to pick up small items such as sequins and embellishments. Along with the Take Your Pick Tool, we also received the Suite Season Specialty Washi Tape. There are 5 rolls total:

Our last Prize Patrol is a package of some fabulous designer paper called Joyous Noel Specialty Designer Paper. Wowza, you should see this paper. Copper Foil accents on one side of every page. It is so pretty!

We also had the pleasure of seeing Shelli Gardner demonstrate for us. This lady is so much fun. She always makes us laugh. Shelli is the co-founder of Stampin’ Up! who stepped down as CEO and is now our Board Chair. Because I was sitting in the front row, I was able to capture a photo of Shelli before she came across the stage:

One of the most exciting things to happen during out reception, was these 5 demonstrators who took part in our 2020 Incentive Trip Reveal. Each demonstrator walked on the stage with numbered carry-ons:

And then the reveal started:

The first reveal was a sun hat:

#2 Clue was up:

And we have a beach towel:

Now it’s turn for #3:

And we have some sunscreen and flip flops. It’s getting pretty interesting by now:

Up next is #4:

I can’t recall and can’t tell what was in this package but it again had to do with beaches!

It’s now time for the last carry-on to be opened, #5:

And we have a shirt…

And some more digging…

Digging and digging inside the carry-on for this flyer (sorry about the lighting quality) WOOHOO, the 2020 Incentive Trip will be to Maui, Hawaii! Hawaii is #1 on my bucket list. I barely missed the trip by not having enough points the last time is was offered. I am so excited about this and hope you will help me earn this trip of MY lifetime starting October 1st! This is a must have for me this time around!

I hope you enjoyed our little bit of excitement. I loved sharing our first day aboard the Royal Caribbean Explorer of the Seas. Not only do we get to cruise, we get to have some stamping fun too!
