Do you love shimmer, shine, glitter? Would you use glitter more often if there wasn’t such a mess? Well………I have the answer for you.
Heat and Stick Powder!! This is the neatest, greatest invention. This powder is sold in a small container. What I do to make it more user friendly is empty the container of powder into a square plastic dish that has a lid and can also store a plastic spoon. Why you ask? Let me first get you through the steps of creating this card and you will understand……
First start out by inking the daffodil stamp from the “Abundant Hope” stamp set, in Chocolate Chip ink. I cut out my piece of Whisper White cardstock first, used the Scallop Trim Border Punch on two edges, then stamped my image.
Using a VersaMark stamp pad, turn it upside down and thump over the whole piece of cardstock until it is covered. This is where the square plastic container comes into play, holding your piece of cardstock over the container, used your plastic spoon to cover the whole piece of carstock with the Heat & Stick powder. As you will notice, all the excess powder falls back into the container…..no mess……..
Using your heat tool, heat until all of the powder is melted and then move on to your next container that holds your Dazzling Diamonds glitter and another spoon. Sprinkle the glitter over the entire cardstock piece. Again, you will notice that the excess glitter falls into the container. The Heat & Stick powder captures the glitter and it is glued in place. No glitter all over the place and better yet, no glitter all over your face!! I keep a spoon in each container and label the container with the contents.
