Welcome to A Paper Pumpkin Thing October Blog Hop! This month our kit was all about feathers and helping someone feel better! I created two coordinating projects with the contents of the kit plus a little bit of additional cardstock:

My Paper Pumpkin customers love it when I stick to mostly what is in my box. The additional cardstock color that I added behind the die-cut card front & treat box is Grapefruit Grove Cardstock. Isn’t it lovely when paired with the other layers?

First let’s talk about my card:
- I cut the cardstock to measure the same size as the card front and glued it behind the die-cut side of the card.
- On both projects, I added the Night Of Navy oval die-cut that came with the kit but added a little bit of white embossing to each one with the feather stamp image. I stamped with VersaMark Ink, sprinkled with White Embossing Powder and set with my Heat Tool.
- I added a large Rhinestone Jewel to the stamped feathers and I also added the smaller Rhinestone Jewels to the little sprigs on each branch die-cut.
- Notice that one of the sprigs on both projects is white? I flipped it over from the colored side to the white side.
- The sentiment layer is glued in place with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
For the 3D project, I actually used a 2nd card base which I scored on the die-cut end at 1-3/4″ and I scored again on the non die-cut side at 1-3/4″. Fold on all score lines.

My next step was to cut two pieces of Grapefruit Grove Cardstock and glue to the underside of the scored die-cut panels. Fold on all score lines and shape into a triangular box. Glue the two layers that overlap over each other.
The front is decorated in the same manner as the card using the same elements and layers. For the treat portion, I used a 2″ Cello Bag and cut off the sealed end so that both ends were open. I inserted some mints on the inside and then tied both ends with White Baker’s Twine from a previous Paper Pumpkin kit and then slid the cello bag to the inside of the treat holder:

I hope you like my two coordinating projects for our blog hop. I will now send you off to visit my teammates. You are now visiting Debbie Henderson and you can click on the name of the person below me to continue the hop!
