A Cut Above Perfect for Father's Day and Masculine Cards! - Debbie Henderson, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

Happy Memorial Day long weekend! I’m a little late posting today as Blogger wouldn’t let me do my thing last night. It’s also the perfect time to announce that I have a brand new blog coming soon. Blogger that I use now, is a free blogging platform and is limited. I am paying Webs by Amy to design a new blog for me which will be called Debbie Henderson Designs (it would have cost me $28,000 to purchase a Debbie’s Designs domain name as someone already had it and gave it up. Isn’t that crazy!). Here’s a Sneak Peek of my blog header:

Isn’t it beautiful? I told Amy that I do not like clutter and that I wanted lots of white space with a clean & simple designs. It was fun to go to Pinterest and find a style for me by adding photos of butterflies, ink splats, fonts and other ideas to give Amy a foundation of my style to create with. I can’t wait to see the rest of the images Amy came up with for my blog. Coming soon!

Father’s Day is just around the corner and I’ve had the A Cut Above stamp set for a few months now. I bought it ahead of time knowing I would use it for masculine cards of course. I also added the die-cut grass on both cards using the Majestic Mountain Dies. Although the dies are shaped for mountains and hills, they were perfect for grass. So there you go, another use for your dies!

I think this fella is hilarious. He even has little music notes coming out of his mouth. So he’s either singing or whistling. The shape of his mouth tells me his whistling. Don’t you think so too? I added a bit of shading at the top with Blending Brushes and I also stamped on the designer paper layer with the sun image repeatedly.

I copied the same layout for card #2 but added some color with Stampin’ Blends Markers:

Both images crack me up. And you can see that the stamp set has sentiments for Father’s Day, birthdays, and thanks so you can share your best wishes on any masculine-type projects!
