My Day #7 tag for today’s 12 Days of Christmas Tags is quite cute and it’s pretty neat how I created a single window pane. Take a peek:

I used the Hearth & Home Thinlits Dies and did a partial cut over half the window by placing the cutting plate up to the half only so that the Big Shot would not cut the whole window shape. I then turned my cardstock piece 180 degrees, adding the die over the portion that was un-cut on one side and continued cutting the other side by again placing the cutting plate over the portion that needed to be cut. Pretty neat look huh?

In order to create a “hole” behind the window so that I could see through the window pane, I used my 1″ Square Punch and made a rectangular strip and then glued the window in place with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I did not write down the stamp set the sentiment came from and can not recall which one it was but once stamped, I cut it with the Washi Label Punch and glued it in place over the window.
The poinsettia looks great also by using Blushing Bride Ink over Blushing Bride Cardstock. I stamped the flower three times and hand-cut partial layers and used Stampin’ Dimensionals to layer the flower.

I then added Silver Cording Trim behind the flower and I also created some looped clusters to tuck between the layers with Glue Dots. To complete the flower, I added branches cut with the Bird Punch using Garden Green Cardstock and glued the flower in place on my tag.
